Welcome to Morocco, we hope you had a pleasant flight. Here you will be greeted by a
Great Morocco Travel driver-guide, who will pick you up from Casablanca’s airport or Hotel, and then drive you safely to visit the magnificent huge Hassan II Mosque (Exterior visit) is the largest mosque in the country the 7th largest in the world and its minaret is the world’s tallest at 210
meters. After we’ll leave Casablanca behind and continue our tour to Rabat

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at your Riad/Hotel in Rabat, our itinerary leads us to explore this imperial city and current capital of Morocco. Nestled in the northwest region of Morocco, Rabat boasts a rich history and architectural wonders. Get ready to delve into the city's highlights, such as the iconic Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the charming Kasbah of Oudaya. Following our city tour, there will be some free time to enjoy a leisurely lunch. As the afternoon approaches, we will journey northward, passing through Ouazzane, ultimately arriving at the famous Blue city of Chefchaouen, located amidst the majestic Rif Mountains. Renowned for its distinctive blue-hued buildings and labyrinthine alleys, Chefchaouen promises a truly unique experience. Finally, we will wind down for the night at a comfortable hotel/Riad to rejuvenate for the adventures.
After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we depart from the captivating blue city and embark on a journey through the breathtaking landscapes of the region. Marvel at the picturesque fields of wheat, vibrant wildflowers, charming metal-roofed houses, and meandering rivers as we make our way to Ouazzane, renowned for its exceptional honey and figs. Our next destination is the remarkable Roman Ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO site dating back to the 3rd century. Immerse yourself in the extensive excavations featuring awe-inspiring columns, intricate mosaics, a magnificent gateway, and a network of streets and houses. Discover the fascinating history of this significant city that dates back to 225 BC, as your knowledgeable guide provides valuable insights into the Roman era in this region.
Continuing our journey, we reach the imperial city of Meknes, originally established as a military settlement by the Almoravid dynasty in the 11th century and later transformed into a capital by Sultan Moulay Ismail in the 17th century. Be captivated by the Hispano-Moorish architectural style showcased in the splendid Bab Mansour gate, adorned with intricate mosaics and zellige tilework. Explore the impressive ramparts, visit the granary, and marvel at the Sahrij Swani Basin, an ingenious irrigation and plantation system. From Meknes, we proceed to the spiritual capital of Fes, where we will spend the night in a charming riad adorned with ornate Moroccan craftsmanship, nestled within the medina.
After enjoying a delightful breakfast at your riad, your expert guide will meet you to commence your guided tour of Fes. After a delightful breakfast, we bid farewell to Fes and embark on our journey towards the enchanting Sahara. Our first captivating stop is Ifrane, affectionately known as the "Little Switzerland of Morocco," renowned for its alpine-inspired architecture. As we venture into the Middle Atlas Mountains, we'll immerse ourselves in the awe-inspiring Great Cedar Forest, where you'll have the chance to witness the agile Barbary monkeys gracefully swinging through the trees. Our next stop is the charming town of Midelt, where we'll pause for a delightful lunch.
Continuing our expedition, we follow the captivating route of the Ziz Valley, offering breathtaking panoramic vistas at various scenic viewpoints along the way. Prepare to be captivated by the ever-changing landscape as we venture further south, embracing majestic mountains, mesmerizing canyons, meandering rivers, and expansive plateaus. Witness the rustic dwellings of nomadic communities and flocks of grazing animals, a true testament to the harmonious coexistence with nature. As we approach the towns of Errachidia and Erfoud, subtle hints of the Sahara's magnificence begin to unfold before our eyes.
Journeying through the captivating Berber towns and villages from Erfoud to Rissani, the former capital known as Sijilmassa, and the birthplace of the esteemed Alaouite dynasty, the current ruling royal family of Morocco, we'll gradually find ourselves surrounded by the vast open expanse of the desert. Our destination is the enchanting Merzouga, where a warm reception awaits us along with a refreshing glass of mint tea. Here, our faithful camels will be awaiting to embark on an unforgettable trek across the golden dunes, leading us to our desert camp where a night under the celestial canopy awaits. Indulge in a traditional dinner accompanied by captivating Berber music, creating a truly immersive experience."
One of the most magical times in the day is before the sunrises, the silence is amazing and the way the light changes as the sun moves across the dunes is very special. You will be woken in time to enjoy this and then you will ride the camels back in silence to fully appreciate the tranquility of the desert and the Erg Chebbi Dunes. You can have breakfast and a refreshing shower before we take the road for our day’s adventure. From Merzouga to Rissani, through adobe kasbah towns and villages, past vast palm groves, we travel to Tinghir and up into the Todra Gorges. 300 metres high and only 10 metres wide at its narrowest point, this vertical walled canyon is a magnet for international rock climbers. You can enjoy a wander along the crystal clear glacial waters of the river. We continue our tour to the next wonder; Dades Gorges, where erosion has formed some crazy rocks that are called “Monkey Fingers” as they look like fat fingers. You will spend the night in a typical hotel in the Gorges and enjoy local hospitality with half board.
After breakfast, we start our day with many wonderful sights to encounter. Driving along the Dades Valley and the Valley of the Roses; also called the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, you will see many rose coloured adobe kasbahs, fields of crops with hedges of Damascus roses which are cultivated here for their highly prized fragrant oil. In Kelaat M’gouna, we will stop at a rose cooperative where you can purchase some rose water gifts and have an idea about the processes of the roses. We continue or journey along this road to the pal grove of Skoura, then Ouarzazate; the Hollywood of Africa, and to the famous Ait Benhaddou kasbah; UNESCO heritage site and fortress. We will have lunch in the village and a short visit of the ksar. This is where they made the movie The Gladiator, the Kingdom of Heaven and the Prince of Persia, among many others. Back on the road and we cross the High Atlas mountains with its winding roads that cross the high pass of Tizi n´Tichka at 2260 metres. Here we can stop to observe the process of making Argan Oil at a women’s cooperative before driving down to the plains and the medina of Marrakech.
