After, you will have the opportunity to explore the cedar forests of Azrou, where you can hand-feed the friendly local monkeys. A delightful lunch will be served in Midelt before we continue our adventure along the Ziz River, leading us to Erfoud and the mesmerizing Merzouga desert. In the afternoon, we arrive at the Sahara Desert in Merzouga. Here, you'll switch to camels and trek across the sandy expanse. We'll stop to let you enjoy the enchanting sunset from the top of a high dune. Afterward, we'll proceed to the luxury desert camp, where you can enjoy the rhythm of Berber drum music while dancing around the campfire beneath a vast, star-filled sky. If you wake early, you can enjoy the sunrise and have breakfast at the desert camp before embarking on a camel ride back to the village. Afterward, we will drive in 4WD to Khamlia Village, also known as the "town of blacks," which was formerly famous for its music. Our journey will then take us along ancient tracks used in the Paris-Dakar Rally, allowing us to visit the abandoned village of Mfiss and the kholl mines. We will share tea with desert nomads and have the opportunity to taste local pizza. Following lunch, we will head towards our Hotel in Merzouga, located amidst the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi—Morocco's only sub-Saharan dunes. In the dunes, you can spend the rest of the afternoon walking and marveling at the sunset or the swimming pool before settling in for the night at a riad with breakfast and dinner provided.
